Insomnia
Lately it's been HORRIBLE. But I have a plan. Someone buy me a white noise machine! In the meantime, I have a smaller room other than my bedroom that currently just has random shit in it. I am converting this to the sleeping room. The only thing in it will be a bed and a stand on which to have a white noise machine and/or radio for music. That's it. And I'm putting up the darkest thing I can find in the window so it's pitch black. Blah. Anyone got any other ideas? I've tried most...but am willing to try again/try anything.

as you probably know, my favorite white noise is fans, because they also make it so the air is moving, and it's easier to breathe when sleeping, as there's no stuffiness occurring in the room... that and i like to be cold(er) when i sleep.. with my two fans and computer running at night, t's actually quite a bit of white noise, i can't hear that much outside of my room because of it.

Yea, plus you have that dark ass blanket over your window so it's black as night (considering that you sleep during the day like I do). I'm thinking...I'm going to put the extra air conditioner I have in the window and at least turn the fan on in it. That should make enough noise to drawn out the kids yelling and playing outside. Hopefully.

I used to like taking melatonin to sleep. Gave me some... interesting dreams, but it worked.

i used to take melatonin too. it worked alright, i never had weird dreams tho. obviously, avoid caffeinated stuff at night and try to get enough exercise during the day so that your body is tired when you actually lay down. you could also try doing some yoga before you lay down to help you relax and get rid of any stress.

Yeah, all that stuff too. Oh, and commercial as it sounds, I bought a new bed and slept like a bear that sleeps on a really nice mattress! New bed = good.
