Incredible how we can spend soooo much of our time with a whole lot of nothing. I have friends who have moved so far away that we don't see one another much anymore. Wait, What am I saying? I have LOCAL frends who I don't see anymore. Our only means of communication seems to be these public (im)personal posts on Livejournal, Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace. Some, so incredibly impersonal that they are limited to invites to play farm games or a random 'poke'.

What irks me (and I am guilty of this myself) is how long it takes to respond to a personal message. I realized this morning that I had inboxes backed up everywhere. Tagged emails with long overdue reminders to reply and notes to write to so and so about this and that.

What have I been filling my time with.. that is SO important that I cant spend five minutes to write a quick note and let those I care about know I care? Have I accomplished world peace? Tripled my salary? fought hunger? No. Have I done anything worth noting that would occupy my time so much as to cause my silence? I cant THINK of anything that stands out. I know that my job is working me to death and my home life does keep me busy.. but I cant imagine there isn't SOME time in there to share...


I guess I am just sayin'... publicly.. and impersonally... I miss the personal communication.

Crisp fall mornings make me miss being a pedestrian. Walking through the cool morning air always felt so romantic; one of those simple pleasures that made it feel easy to be alive.

We're moving to Madison, WI next spring. I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait.

And speaking of Castle, I noticed Jose Molina's name popping up in the credits on a few episodes, and thought it was familiar for some reason. (co-executive producer on "Deep in Death" [2.1] and "Vampire Weekend" [2.6], writer on the upcoming "Famous Last Words" [2.7]).

Turns out the reason I knew the name was because he also was involved with Firefly: executive story editor on 13 episodes (all but the pilot), and writer on "Trash" and "Ariel"

threw together a couple Castle icons.

Nothing fancy, just something that had my two favorite characters.
Not sure if the pictures really work that well in icon size, but it's better than nothing.

My son is dressing up for Halloween... and in the spirit of making fun of Twilight we made his face a slight pale color and dumped body glitter all over him before he put his clothes on... tousled his hair and he put his clothes on. He is a retarded glittery kid who cant be in the sun.

He is leaving his vampire teeth here. even more appropriate.

People have started using Google Wave to play RPGs

I'd like to try that! (granted, I don't know too many others on Wave yet)

Traditionally, big deals are made about the wedding night,
with the couple "consumating the marriage" and all.

I have to wonder if it really IS that big of a deal.
Especially since fewer and fewer people really wait for marriage to have sex anyway.
(maybe they never did, even "back in the day". they just pretended to be chaste)

Anyhow, I'd imagine after a long and hectic day (well, a long and hectic WEEK really), what with all the preparations for the ceremony, the ceremony itself, the reception, interacting with all the guests, dealing with all the family members and whatnot, and everything else that goes on....
I'd imagine that by the end of the night, that both people are probably pretty darn worn out.

I don't really know why that popped into my head. But it did, so I posted it, cuz that's what my journal is for. haha.
